On April 9, 2024, the third part of our workshop series on translation will take place at the University Hospital Essen. This time, the focus will be on related areas that are becoming increasingly important in the translation of research results from stem cell research into products and therapies.

The core of the workshop will be lectures by specialists from NRW and the Benelux region, who will provide insights into current trends in their specialist areas.

The speakers will be:

  • Prof. Dr. Peter Dubruel , Ghent University - Polymer Chemistry & Biomaterials
  • Prof. Martijn van Griensven, Maastricht University - Molecular and Translational Regenerative Medicine
  • Prof. Dr.-Ing. Jørgen Magnus, RWTH Aachen - Bioprocess engineering
  • Prof. Dr. Sven Stegemann, DWI - Leibniz Institute – Leibniz Joint Lab fiT – pre-competitive translation and GMP

There will also be time for a discussion on how these research areas will influence the implementation of stem cell research in practice in the near future. The workshop will be in English.

Participation in the workshop is free of charge, but places are limited. Those interested in attending the event can register here.
