Membership is open to scientific, university, and non-university institutions with legal capacity that are active in the field of academic and applied stem cell research and are based in North Rhine-Westphalia. In addition to biomedical research, stem cell research also includes accompanying research in the humanities and social sciences, especially in the fields of ethics, law, and social aspects (“ELSA”).
Twenty-three universities, university hospitals, and non-university research institutions in NRW that are active in the field of stem cell research or in the application of research results from this field are currently members of the association Stem Cell Network NRW.
