The UniStem Day is an international campaign day on stem cell research aimed at senior high school students. German institutions are taking part in the campaign day for the ninth time already, a large part of the offers from Germany will once again come from North Rhine-Westphalia and be hosted by members of the Stem Cell Network NRW. The coordination office centrally coordinates the offers from NRW and takes care of their promotion at schools and in social media as well as in the press.

Overall, 13 research institutions from all over NRW have already confirmed their participation in the upcoming UniStem Day on March 22, 2024 and will open their doors to give young people an insight into the world of stem cells. Participants can look forward to lab tours, scientific lectures, stem cell quizzes, online formats with interesting presentations or virtual "Meet the Experts" rounds.

The offers are now open for registration. They aim either at entire classes, small groups, or individual students. An overview of the offers can be found here.

Participation is free of charge. The number of available places (allocated by the order of registration) is, however, limited.
