On March 5, 2021, numerous research institutions in NRW will once again open their doors to give interested schoolchildren a whole day's worth of insights into stem cell research.

Since 2016 Germany has been participating in UniStem Day, the international day of action on stem cell research. Each year, members of the Stem Cell Network NRW offer numerous contributions to this event.

On March 5, 2021, interested secondary school students can gain insight into research practice and deepen their knowledge about stem cell science. They will be given an overview of the current state of research and also have the opportunity to conduct experiments themselves. Ten research institutions in NRW have already opened their registration for 2021. Due to the ongoing pandemic, some of next year’s events take place online -- all offers are free of charge and already meet with great interest. Further information and an overview of the contents and registration procedures of the individual offers can be found here.
