In it’s issue from July 21th, the German newspaper Süddeutsche Zeitungdeals with unproven stem cell treatments and is taking the company Blue Horizon International (BHI) as an example. As part of her investigation, the author Astrid Viciano also accompanied Brian Mehling (the chief medical officer of BHI) to a company facility in Slovakia, where he himself received a stem cell treatment. The well-researched article was published in the print edition of the newspaper (“Viel versprochen”) as well as in the online version (“Wie Pseudo-Wissenschaft dubiose Geschäfte ankurbelt“) and includes several statements of experts from the Stem Cell Network North Rhine-Westphalia.
