In order to give researchers the opportunity to participate in both events, the program committee of the International Meeting 2025 has decided to hold the meeting of the Stem Cell Network NRW earlier than announced recently. The 12. International Meeting will now take place on May 6 and 7, 2025 at the Kameha Grand in Bonn. The previously announced date is cancelled.
As at previous International Meetings, participants can expect a varied program with presentations by renowned international speakers from the stem cell field over the two days of the conference. The meeting has the topic of “Stem Cell Engineering”. New research findings and biomedical developments will be presented and their implementation in products and therapies will be discussed. Ethical, legal and social science topics will also be discussed at the International Meeting and closely linked to current issues in biomedicine. In addition, the 12th International Meeting will also feature presentations by young scientists, selected on abstract submissions. Poster sessions offer junior researchers the opportunity to present their work and discuss it with experts. The conference will be accompanied by a large industry exhibition and a networking event on the evening of the first day of the event. The conference language will be English.
Since 2002, the Stem Cell Network North Rhine-Westphalia has been organizing its International Meeting every two years. It is one of the largest congresses in this field of research in Europe. Thanks to the support of the federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia, it has always been possible to invite leading stem cell researchers from all over the world. We are very pleased that personalities such as Nobel laureate John Gurdon, Rudolf Jaenisch, Fred Gage and Kenneth Chien have given lectures at the past International Meetings in North Rhine-Westphalia.
