Production of human organs in animals?

Japan announced that it will allow a research approach to produce human donor organs, e.g. the pancreas, in animals, which has led to far-reaching discussions. We have compiled a selection of press articles that give both a critical and a positive assessment of the research project. With that we would like to encourage you to form your own opinion.

A Spanish scientist did not seem to want to wait for a change in the regulations. He has announced recently that he will test the development of human stem cells in monkey embryos. He deliberately conducts his experiments in China in order not to be hindered by the legal requirements in Spain/the USA.
