Japan announced that it will allow a research approach to produce human donor organs, e.g. the pancreas, in animals, which has led to far-reaching discussions. A Spanish scientist did not seem to want to wait for a change in the regulations. He has announced recently that he will test the development of human stem cells in monkey embryos. He deliberately conducts his experiments in China in order not to be hindered by the legal requirements in Spain/the USA.
