Congress Award Münster to Hans Schöler

Prof. Dr. Hans Schöler received the Congress Award 2023 in the Erbdrostenhof in Münster from Lord Mayor Markus Lewe on the 30^th of March 2023 in a festive award ceremony. The prize is given to Congress organizers who help to raise Münster’s profile as a congress location both nationally and internationally. The joint meeting of the German Stem Cell Network GSCN and the Stem Cell Network NRW took place in September 2022 as a 4-day joint congress, celebrating the 10^th meeting of the GSCN and the 20^th anniversary of the Stem Cell Network NRW with about 500 researchers in stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, philosophy and ethics from all over the world. The congress won out of a total of 439 congresses held in the time frame from 2019 and 2022, with a shortlist of 15 and three final winners. The decision-making criteria for the award included the aspects of internationality, sustainability in organization and implementation, promotion of young scientists, and involvement of business and the public.
