Submit your abstract

For our anniversary meeting, we encourage all scientists to contribute to the scientific program and present their latest results at our virtual conference! There are two options, and both require you to submit an abstract.
Abstracts can be handed in prior to and independently of conference registration. No additional fee for abstract submission and oral/pitch presentation will be charged!

Option 1 - Talk
Apply to present your research data as a 15 min talk in one of the sessions. In each session, there will be one talk which was selected by abstract. If your abstract is not selected for an oral presentation, it will automatically be considered for Option 2.

Option 2 - Pitch
Present your data as a pitch! Even though poster sessions are a great feature on "normal" conferences, we experienced that big size posters are sometimes difficult to fit on a small size screen and therefore chose a different contribution and presentation format for our virtual conference: We invite you to present your reserach data in a 3 min video (pitch). In the prerecorded video you can show some slides and give explanations, or just explain your reserach without slides and spark the audience’s curiosity for a personal conversation with you or combine both formats in your pitch. There will be specific time slots for pitch presentations on both days (implicating that you should be available during this timeslots for questions) and, furthermore, pitches will be available for viewing anytime starting March 26 up to one month after the conference!

  • Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Microenvironment
  • Cell programming
  • Disease modeling and organoids
  • Ethical, legal and societal issues
  • Pluripotent stem cells
  • Stem cell epigenetics
  • Stem cells in regeneration
  • Tissue-specific stem cells

Abstract Submission

Abstract submission is open from January 22 to February 17 (11am) and is only possible via the link below. Unfortunately, we cannot accept abstracts submitted by email. Important: Prior conference registration is not required for abstract submission. Abstract submission is open to scientists, physicians, and researchers from all fields. Corporate presentations or advertisements for commercial products or services will not be accepted.

In the submission process, you will be asked for the following information:

  • Title
  • Abstract topic (drop-down option)
  • Authors and affiliations
  • Abstract (max. 2000 characters including letters, numbers, punctuation and spaces. Special characters are allowed, but italic and bold formatting as well as figures cannot be submitted for technical reasons.)
  • Five keywords (separated by semicolon)

When submitting your abstract, you can also choose whether you would like to present your results in a talk (option 1). The program committee will select up to seven abstracts for a 15-minute presentation.

Deadline for abstract submission: Wednesday, February 17, 2021, 11:00 am CET.

In early March, we will inform all authors if their abstracts have been accepted and/or if they have been selected for a 15-minute presentation. All selected authors must then register for the conference in order to present the data.
